Return Policy for Purchases from Big Systems

At Big Systems, we strive for your complete satisfaction. If you're not satisfied with your purchase, we offer a 30-day return window for most products. All returns must follow the procedures below.

Standard Return Guidelines

  • Returns must be requested within 30 days of purchase

  • Claims for missing or damaged items must be made within 2 business days of delivery

  • You may request an exchange or full refund (refunds issued in original payment form)

  • Credit card refunds take 7–10 days to appear; check refunds are issued within 10 business days of return receipt

  • Returns are subject to a 15% restocking fee if not in original condition or packaging


How to Return or Exchange an Item

  1. Call 888-241-8721 to request a Return Merchandise Authorization (RMA) number

  2. Place items in the original packaging and use a shipping carton

  3. Clearly mark the RMA number on the outer box

  4. Ship via insured ground service with tracking

  5. Customer is responsible for return shipping costs

  6. Once approved, follow the return instructions provided (call tags are valid for 10 business days)

Return Types and Claims

Ordering Errors

Return in original packaging. A 15% restocking fee and re-shipping costs apply.

Damaged or Lost Shipments

Inspect shipments upon arrival. Retain all packaging. Contact us immediately. Claims must be filed by Big Systems if shipped on our account.

Manufacturing Defects

Photos or samples may be required before an RMA is issued.

Shipping Errors

Report issues within 5 business days to receive a replacement or refund.


Shipping Carrier Policies

  • UPS Claims: Must be filed within 30 days. Original packaging must be retained.

  • LTL Freight Claims: Must be accompanied by a signed delivery receipt and submitted within 30 days. Damages must be noted on the delivery document at the time of receipt.


Limitations and Restocking Fees

  • Items returned in non-original condition may incur additional fees

  • Returned items must be in sellable, new condition with all accessories and documentation

  • Hardware is typically serviced by the manufacturer, not returned to Big Systems

  • Customer credit is issued only after manufacturer confirmation (if defect applies)


Non-Returnable Items

  • Special orders or custom items

  • Opened software or unwrapped consumables (ink, toner, lamps, etc.)

  • Computers, displays, and peripherals with opened packaging

  • Used or damaged items

  • International orders

  • Freight charges are non-refundable


Warranty Coverage and Disclaimers

Big Systems offers a 30-day warranty on materials and workmanship. Manufacturer warranties apply where available. We do not warrant products for merchantability or fitness for a specific purpose.

We are not liable for labor costs, incidental or consequential damages, or losses beyond the product’s value. Warranty claims must follow the original manufacturer’s terms.


Liability Limitations

Big Systems is not liable for damages exceeding product replacement value. We are not responsible for business interruption, lost profits, or indirect damages. Buyer assumes responsibility for resale agreements and must include warranty limitations in downstream contracts.
