Pretreatment Mix Ratios and Curing Guidelines
Dark Garments Using White Ink
- Mix ratio: 1 part pretreatment to 2 parts distilled water
- Yield: 60 liters of usable fluid
- Pre-print drying: 335°F for 45 seconds
- Post-print curing: 335°F for 75 seconds
Increasing concentration up to 1 to 1 may slightly improve vibrancy but can increase cost and reduce wash fastness. Reducing concentration to 1 to 3 may improve wash fastness but reduce vibrancy.
Light Garments CMYK Only
- Mix ratio: 1 part pretreatment to 9 parts distilled water
- Yield: 200 liters of usable fluid
- Pre-print drying: 335°F for 45 seconds
- Post-print curing: 335°F for 45 seconds
Pretreatment is not required for CMYK-only printing, but it can improve detail and color vibrancy when used at this dilution.
